New Zealand Student Visa — Document Checklist (From Bangladesh)

This checklist follows Immigration New Zealand (INZ) requirements for the Student Visa. Documents must be in English or translated.

1. Application & Passport

• Online application through Immigration New Zealand (INZ) portal.
• Valid passport (preferably 1.5–2 years validity).
• Passport-size photo (as per INZ specifications).
• Application submission confirmation.

2. Offer of Place (University/College)

• Official Offer of Place (OOP) from a New Zealand education provider.
• Course details including duration, fees, and study hours.
• Tuition fee invoice.
• Tuition fee payment receipt (full or first-year/required amount).

3. Academic Documents

• SSC / O-Level certificate & transcript.
• HSC / A-Level certificate & transcript.
• Diploma/Bachelor/Master’s documents (if applicable).
• English test scores (IELTS/PTE/TOEFL) as required by institution.

4. Financial Evidence (Primary Requirement)

• Bank statements (last 6 months, stamped).
• Bank solvency certificate.
• Proof of funds covering:
  • Tuition fees
  • Living expenses (minimum NZD requirement per year)
  • Return travel costs
• Sponsor’s financial documents:
  • Sponsor letter
  • Bank statements
  • Tax returns
  • Salary slips
  • Business documents (if business owner)
• Education loan approval letter (if using loan).

5. GTE (Genuine Student Requirement)

• Statement of Purpose (SOP) describing:
  • Your study plan
  • Your reasons for choosing NZ
  • Your financial situation
  • Your ties to Bangladesh
  • Your career goals

6. Health & Medical Requirements

• Chest X-ray (INZ-approved panel clinic).
• Full medical examination (if studying more than 1 year).
• Health certificate uploaded by panel physician.

7. Police & Civil Documents

• Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from Bangladesh.
• Birth certificate (if required).
• Marriage certificate (only if applicable).

8. Accommodation & Travel

• Accommodation booking (university hostel or private rental).
• Return flight plan (optional but recommended).

9. Supporting Documents

• CV / Resume (recommended).
• Previous visa history (if any).
• Employment letters (if you have job experience).
• Award certificates / extracurricular certificates.

10. Fees & Receipts

• Visa application fee payment receipt.
• Tuition fee payment proof.
• Medical examination receipt.

Note: New Zealand requires strong financial proof and a clear GTE/SOP. Medical exams must be done from INZ-approved clinics only.
